The Sports Traumatology and Arthroscopy Research Group (STAR) focuses primarily on knee conditions and strives to contribute to both local and national professional development with a patient-centered approach. Haraldsplass Diakonale Hospital has long been one of Norway’s leading centers for advanced knee surgery, including anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction. STAR operates in a clinically integrated research environment, where the gap between clinical challenges and research questions is minimal.
The group has a strong interdisciplinary foundation, with expertise spanning Orthopedics, Physiotherapy, and Radiology.
