Star Financial Systems was born out of the demand within the brokerage sector for a truly multi-asset and front end agnostic middle and back office trading system. Founded in 2009, drawing its directors from the leading CFD, FX and Spread Trading firms, Star set about creating an infrastructure that could truly grow with the needs of a trading brokerage. Uniquely in the technology space – all our directors have gained their experience within brokerages. About Star Financial Systems We haven’t had to guess at the problems and opportunities faced by the sector. We had to deal and overcome them. We knew the system has to be multi-product, and multi-asset and it has been built from the ground up to be as comfortable with equities, as it is, say, with FX. It had to be as comfortable with spot forex, as it would be with a CFD. We knew the system had to be front end agnostic. As the needs and demands of retail traders grew, it became more and more apparent that a “one dealing platform fits all solution” no longer works. Some retail clients demand one platform, some clients demand another. Some trade on mobile, some trade on desktop. As technology changes, we want brokerages to make decisions based on what is profitable – not on what its legacy technology can support. Importantly we know that risk management, and CRM processes need to be centrally managed. All this with a framework where stability is paramount. We went live with our system, the Swan System, in the summer of 2011. We have added the Swan System to many brokers and brands since them.
