Starbound Project is a student-led non-profit team operating under the IEEE Student Branch at the University of Thessaly – Volos. Founded in April 2024, the team is composed of approximately 20 passionate members, united by a common goal: to spark interest in the fascinating world of aerospace among young engineers and the wider public.
Our mission is to explore and promote the field of aerospace through hands-on projects and participation in related competitions. By doing so, we aim to expand our technical knowledge, grow through collaboration, and gain valuable experience while discovering the exciting role of engineers in the space sector.
Beyond our technical endeavors, Starbound is committed to outreach and education. Through social media engagement, workshops, and other initiatives, we strive to raise public awareness, inspire curiosity, and encourage innovation and research in aerospace.
