Decisis (formerly Stare Decisis Hibernia)

Decisis (formerly Stare Decisis) is an online publication which keeps the Irish legal community up to date with with all new judgments from the Irish superior courts. Founded by Mark Tottenham BL in 2011, Decisis now employs a team of barristers and contains short reports on over 2,500 judgments. The aim of the website is to prepare an easily searchable database of all legal decisions, and to act as a starting point for any Irish legal research. All reports are indexed by subject matter, judge and court and contain a searchable summary of the main authorities relied upon by the judge. Subscribers to Decisis can avail of a personalised e-mail service, alerting them to new judgments on subjects of interest to them. Decisis is now widely used by - among others - solicitors, barristers, senior counsel, university law departments, members of the judiciary, government departments, non-governmental organisations and financial organisations. Decisis has recently expanded its content to include informative legal news and updates, witty articles on interesting areas of law and legal profiles from a variety of people in the legal profession.
