Startup Business Law Bootcamp or SLB (www.startuplawbootcamp.com) is an online professional training course for law students and recent law grads interested in technology transactions. SLB combines self-paced asynchronous learning (short videos, quizzes, and workbook) with simulation drafting and negotiation exercises with your cohort. Spring 2021 cohort participants will complete the self-paced asynchronous curriculum over a four-week period. Simulation training occurs over an approximate 12-week period. Simulation exercises include drafting assignments and virtual negotiations with your cohort members. Jenny leads seven zoom call discussions to guide cohort participants through the simulation training program. The training includes drafting intellectual property and technology agreements, including NDA’s, SAAS agreements, professional services, and DPA (data processing addendum) agreements. These agreements represent typical agreements that Silicon Valley lawyers in law firms and companies – public and private – draft and negotiate on a daily basis. This program can be combined with full-time law school or law practice. The asynchronous portion involves approximately ten (10) hours of time over a 4 week period. The simulation portion involves approximately four (4) to six (6) hours on average. The curriculum fee to access the asynchronous curriculum is $198. For Spring 2021 cohort, there is no training fee. A training fee is expected in future cohorts. Participants are expected to provide feedback on the curriculum and the exercises to benefit future cohorts. Participants who complete all the assignments and exercises receive a completion certificate.
