In our quest to develop entrepreneurship in Bhutan, we found out that most entrepreneurs were struggling to manage their businesses, and those aspiring were facing hardship to find quality and immersive training programs to transform their ideas into sustainable businesses. Lack of handholding support services, lack of innovation and access to international expertise and markets have been the contributing factors for the failure and sustenance of start-up businesses. Weak entrepreneurial ecosystem has also been identified as a major road block to sustainable start-up creation. These problems spawned the creation of Startup First Institute for innovation and entrepreneurship being the pioneer private institute fully dedicated to promote entrepreneurship and innovation in Bhutan.
