StarWatts

StarWatts is an initiative by Flux50 , De Blauwe Cluster (Blue Cluster) vzw, Cluster TWEED and EIT InnoEnergy to accelerate the energy transition together. During this event, start-ups and scale-ups present their solutions for a number of challenges faced by corporates. This one-day event offers startups a platform to pitch their solutions to a select group of corporates and venture capitalists. A selection of 10 corporates will present specific challenges linked to the energy transition, and 40 start-ups will have the opportunity to pitch their ideas, address these challenges or showcase other promising innovations. The event includes a panel discussion with venture capitalists on energy market trends and guidance for start-ups, as well as a keynote address by a prominent female leader in the industry. Networking opportunities will be available throughout the day, including one-on-one meetings and an acceleration market during coffee breaks. The day will conclude with a plenary networking reception. StarWatt's primary objectives are to support the innovation trajectories of corporates, enhance the international recognition of Flemish innovation players, attract international innovation to benefit Belgian corporates (and viceversa), and connect start-ups with venture capitalists. During the event, Blue Cluster will also present the Blue Innovation Awards 2025. These awards aim to put innovative projects, products and services in the blue economy in the spotlight. The awards are open to companies, organisations and government institutions based in Belgium that are active in the blue economy.
