Staton Foundation

The Staton Foundation is committed to advancing equity and opportunity for young children in Costa Rica through evidence-based investments in early childhood development, education, and policy innovation. Our work focuses on strengthening the early learning ecosystem by partnering with communities, educators, and institutions to design, pilot, and scale impactful solutions. Using robust data analysis and local insights, we identify the root causes of inequity and co-create programs that improve learning outcomes, family support, and long-term well-being for children from birth to age four. We believe that early education is a powerful lever for social change. Through strategic research, policy advocacy, and targeted funding, the Staton Foundation supports systemic improvements that benefit children and families across Costa Rica—particularly in under-resourced areas.
