STEM Advancement Inc., also known as Mississippi Robotics, is a pioneering 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to transforming STEM education for underserved and rural K-12 students and teachers across Mississippi. Founded by Ray Holt, an inventor, engineer, and educator with deep roots in Silicon Valley, our mission is to bridge the gap in STEM education by providing hands-on learning experiences, professional development for teachers, and robust STEM curriculum and resources. We offer a variety of impactful programs including STEM Teacher Professional Development Training, student STEM competitions, and specialized STEM camps. Our initiatives have reached over 4,000 students and 500 teachers, empowering them with the knowledge and skills needed for success in today's technology-driven world. Through partnerships with organizations like Nissan-America and the MS NASA Space Grant Consortium, we bring real-world employable skills into the classroom, ensuring our students are well-prepared for future careers in STEM fields. Our mission is to inspire and equip low-income, disadvantaged students in Mississippi with the tools and knowledge to excel in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics).
