STEM Live!

STEM Live has been developed to offer free STEM interactive curriculum aligned online lessons to primary school children wherever they are. It is a unique education program that aims to revolutionise the way STEM education is taught in primary schools, making it accessible and inclusive to all and exciting children's interest in STEM subjects. STEM education is important for young people because it equips them with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in a rapidly advancing and technologically complex world. It provides a strong foundation in science, technology, engineering, and maths, which are essential in a wide range of fields, from healthcare to finance to environmental science. It also helps to foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity, which are key skills in many areas of life. Moreover, STEM education provides opportunities for young people to explore exciting and rewarding careers in these fields, which are in high demand and offer many benefits. Working in partnership with private sector organisations we can provide these important lessons free of charge. Starting in February this year, STEM Live has already gained a worldwide audience of over 200,000 pupils. We aim to reach 1,000,000 by 2024. The UK has a shortage of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) skills and the under-investment in STEM education across all age groups is leading to a widening skills gap, less innovation and slower economic growth.
