The STEM Community Alliance Program (STEMCAP), housed in the University of Utah’s Office of Undergraduate Studies, serves Youth-In-Custody (YIC) at five youth centers across Utah. Our program provides justice-impacted youth with valuable opportunities to interact with scientists, faculty, artists, and community organizations. STEMCAP empowers students to see themselves as science-capable learners, inspiring them to contribute to science, environmental conservation, and the STEM workforce.
