STEP Benelux

STEP is the leading international network of experts in family inheritance and succession planning. A unique global network of more than 20,000 practitioners across 96 countries, we work to improve public understanding of the issues families face in this area and promote education and high professional standards among our members. STEP Benelux was created in 1997 as part of an initiative to promote STEP in civil law jurisdictions. The branch was founded as an A.s.b.l. (a Luxembourg not-for-profit entity) in 2012 with 51 founding members of 11 different nationalities. Today, STEP Benelux is an active branch with a committee and membership representing Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg, which together make up Benelux, one of Europe’s most important post-war unions and a precursor to the EU.
