Step Up for India aims to change the quality of education in government schools across India.
Our structured programs enable children in vernacular medium government schools to learn English in the shortest time possible. This effective and enjoyable curriculum can be taught by teachers in government schools and volunteers, who we train with short, intensive experiential training modules. The learning materials themselves embed capacity building so the teachers can upskill themselves as they teach.
We work with departments of education in the government to ensure sustainable and well supported implementation. We partner with corporate CSRs, foundations and utilise their donations to make the most impact. We also engage with NGOs working in the space of education, and with individuals who want to help the local community around them by teaching English using our material and methodologies.
Our agile approach to implementation, coupled with well-researched content that is designed specifically for children in government schools, allow us to work in diverse environments. Our content is now ready to reach children in all the states that speak Hindi, Gujarati, Marathi, Kannada, Telugu and Urdu.
