Mission Statement: At Step Up Yeg our mission is to take action against racial injustices within our community and around the world. We do this through initiatives that provide racial education, engage youth around the community and empower our Edmonton youth community to take action against racial inequalities.
Vision Statement: An anti-racist society where everyone is treated with respect and dignity.
Goals
Educate: Educate on topics that are not addressed enough in our school systems such as BIPOC history, activism and anti-racism. We educate others to spread awareness on racial justice issues concerning our society.
Engage: Create opportunities to engage with youth in our community and bring different perspectives together. We want to be an inclusive space for learning and growing and we highly value the strength in diversity.
Empower: Give opportunities to empower other youth in our community to start their anti-racism education. Create initiatives for youth to take action on racial justice issues.
