Step Builder, LLC’s members have been closely involved in the acquisition, construction, financing, refinancing, equipping, and sale of hundreds of apartment projects across the country. We are tough, practical negotiators and we assist in structuring our clients’ transactions with a view to reduce their risk and minimize transaction costs. Members of our team have been active participants in the LIHTC program since the program’s inception in 1986. We provide a wide range of services to clients, representing for-profit and nonprofit developers, and property managers. Step Builder, LLC members have been involved in every major type of financing which the market has seen in the past 25 years involving various credit enhancements provided by FHA, Ginnie Mae, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, the Federal Home Loan Banks, municipal bond insurance with all the major bond insurers, and more. Step Builder, LLC interprets and translates local ordinances, HUD regulations, and construction documents on a more or less daily basis. Our teammates have administered programs in a variety of financings, including financings involving HUD’s Public Housing Program.
