Step Forward Tees Valley is a partnership led by Humankind Charity, and jointly funded by the European Social Fund and The National Lottery Community Fund.
We are dedicated to getting local people into work and training by supporting them to overcome the complex reasons preventing them from finding work. These barriers could include physical or mental ill-health, a lack of self-confidence, a gap in skills, a conviction, or an addiction.
We help people to build on their strengths and aspirations, using the skills and expertise of partners and local employers to achieve their goals. We are committed to making a real and lasting change in Tees Valley.
We support people cross the Tees Valley to take advantage of existing voluntary or employment possibilities, as well as working with local employers to create new opportunities for our participants.
We engage with local employers so we know that our participants are gaining the right skills for the workplace and to open up new opportunities for those on the programme who may previously felt they couldn't enter work or training.
We have offices in Darlington, Stockton, Middlesbrough, Redcar & Cleveland and Hartlepool.
