Buur unlocks the potential of the neighborhood. We believe it’s time for us all to get involved and take responsibility for a safer, sounder and more self-reliant living environment, with access to the local government when their help is required. With a retracting government and their budgets being under pressure, we need to be more self-reliant. MijnBuur connects neighbors through an app. Neighbors are then - literally - under the button (as we say in Dutch) for when you’re in danger, in need, or when you want to get things done. And mijnBuur provides direct access to your local government when necessary. Take litter for example. In MijnBuur you can mobilize your neighbors to find a solution to the problem and mijnBuur will put you in contact with the right person at the municipality, if necessary. MijnBuur focusses on hyper social networks in their everyday environment. And mijnBuur focusses on relevance. You choose the conversations you wish to engage in and you choose which issues or collaborations you want be part of. ‘Keeping the information you receive, relevant.
