Sustainable Data Foundation (the Netherlands)

The Sustainable Data Foundation (based in Amersfoort, the Netherlands) is committed to making the IT infrastructure around data processing and data use as energy-efficient as possible. Our goal is to contribute to the (accelerated) sustainability of data by spreading knowledge and creating more awareness around the topic. A sustainable(er) handling of data brings many benefits: - Reducing emissions of CO2 and other harmful emissions - Preventing energy shortages and peak loads on the power grid - Keeping energy bills affordable for companies and consumers - Data centres with less impact on nature, the environment and the living environment
