Valentina Foundation

The Valentina Foundation was founded by Kurt and Renate Peter after their youngest daughter Valentina died of her tumor in 2016 at the age of 13. She spent the last stage of her life far away from home in the university hospital. The Valentina Foundation makes it possible for seriously and terminally ill children to receive intensive medical and palliative care at home in the company of their families by a mobile team from Ulm University Hospital. The aim is to enable these children, their parents and their siblings to enjoy as much quality of life as possible through the normality of being at home.
