Stoked On Life is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to providing evidence-based and experiential ocean and surf therapy for teens and individuals struggling with mental health and substance use challenges. Our unique approach combines therapeutic interventions with the healing power of a blue space to enhance the healing journey.
Our curriculum is rooted in the "Blue Mind Theory," developed by renowned marine biologist and author Dr. Wallace J. Nichols. This theory explains the profound effects that being near, in, or around water can have on the brain, notably reducing symptoms of anxiety and depression. We are proud to have partnered with Dr. Nichols to create the first Blue Mind curriculum in the United States, which we completed in June.
