I am currently a senior attending the University of Florida. I am engaged in a Non-profit student organization known as the Strong Roots Movement, where I take on the role of Co-President. Our mission to combat food insecurity in Gainesville through community gardens has inspired me to take on projects that will improve local and regional food systems. After I receive my Bachelor's I aspire to earn my Master's and pursue a thesis in family youth and community science at the University of Florida. With these degrees and knowledge under my belt, I will pursue my dream of working for a non-profit as a project director where I am able to use my extensive knowledge in community engagement, local and regional food systems, sustainable agronomic production, food supply chain, and an overall understanding of environmental policy to lead future generations towards a viable, healthy future.
