Established in 1976, today Stop-choc Ltd is part of the Hutchinson group, the rubber & chemicals division of TotalEnergies & world leaders in the manufacture of rubber, elastomeric and plastic products.
HISTORY
Stop-choc Limited was first set up as the British operating company for the Vibrachoc Group. Since early 1977, we have operated a manufacturing unit primarily for the design, development & production of anti-vibration & shock mounts, illuminated control panels & display systems, avionics racking & transit cases. In 1994 the Vibrachoc group joined Hutchinson, world leaders in the manufacture of rubber products whose head office is in Paris.
Since 1934, Paulstra has been designing & developing anti-vibration mountings & systems to meet the most extreme applications. In 1994 they were joined in the Hutchinson organisation by Vibrachoc and Stop-choc to become one of the world's leading manufacturers.
Barry Controls, the highly regarded American organisation joined Hutchinson in 2000 & in 2005 its UK operations were fully integrated into Stop-choc.
PRODUCTS
● Vibration & Shock Isolation
Stop-choc design and manufacture anti-vibration mounts, vibration isolation products & vibration isolators, shock mounts, shock isolation systems & anti-vibration racking.
● Illuminated Control Panels & Displays
The control panel division of Stop-choc design & manufacture cockpit illuminated control panels in aluminium & acrylic using filament lamp, LED & electroluminescent light source technology. Control panels & keyboards include push button switching systems, logic circuitry and displays, integrated within the panel body.
● Avionics Racking
We design & manufacture light weight aluminium & stainless steel trays, bases, racking systems & associated hardware for installing electronics and avionics equipment on board aircraft, military vehicles & naval vessels.
