Storied Selves

I am a former NHS doctor (Consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine), a highly experienced Portfolio Medical Educator, Writing for Wellbeing Facilitator, trained on the seminal MA Creative Writing & Personal Development, Sussex University (2003-2005), published poet and short fiction writer. I have a lifelong passion for writing, learning and supporting others, to access their potential and creativity. I am an active proponent of the Arts in Health and in Healthcare training (health /Medical Humanities), and strongly believe these are vital aspects of offering holistic care to those who are vulnerable, as well as for our own individual wellbeing and personal development. Through a unique blend of carefully designed, enjoyable writing activities and discussion, my bespoke Writing for Wellbeing workshops aim to offer a safe, supportive and nurturing space for individuals to explore their reflections, emotions and experiences. I love to work with individuals in the community, as well as in organisations including those in the Healthcare field, Higher Education and any organisations with a strong ethos of prioritising the wellbeing of their workforce/students.
