St Paul's Boxing Academy

St Paul’s Boxing Academy is one big family where everyone is welcome. We offer a safe, rewarding and fulfilling environment for members of all ages, irrespective of gender, ability, ethnic background or disability. We employ a zero-tolerance approach to any form of bullying or discrimination. Here at St Paul’s, we specialise in delivering boxing training and boxing-based keep fit sessions for people of all ages and fitness levels. Sessions include non-contact and shadow boxing, punch bag exercises, skipping, circuit training, and flexibility training. Each session is supervised by experienced, fully qualified coaches and is tailored to the needs of the individual and or group. At St Paul’s, you can get all the benefits of boxing training without having to compete. Through our services we aim to increase self-confidence, self -esteem, team work and respect for others whilst improving individual health, well-being and fitness. We partner with a range of local sports clubs to help their members attain the highest levels of fitness and work with a diverse range of community groups, educational establishments and other local charities providing access to our facilities, equipment and expert coaches. Founded in 1948, the gym has produced many regional and national boxing champions. Olympic gold medallist, Luke Campbell, started his highly successful career with us and former Commonwealth lightweight title holder, Tommy Coyle, was also a member of St Paul’s Boxing Academy. But we are also dedicated to producing champions in life. In 2019 St Paul’s became a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) and embarked on an ambitious refurbishment programme which has totally transformed the gym to become a more user-friendly building opening it up to all sectors of the local community. Our team of dedicated coaches and volunteers are all CRB checked and bring with them a wealth of experience and expertise.
