Strategy Focus Capital is a pilot student-managed investment fund operating under USYD Forex Investment Association, offering a forum for students at the University of Sydney to discuss financial markets and to learn how to run an actively-managed Hedge Fund investment portfolio which invests across a range of asset classes, including FX, Commodities, Equities, Deriviatives & Fixed Income. In addition to traditional macroeconomic analysis and discretionary strategies, Strategy Focus Capital also incorporates algorithmic trading models and quantitative research to drive decision-making. Students gain exposure to quantitative tools, data-driven backtesting, and statistical modelling to develop systematic strategies, inspired by real-world hedge fund operations.
