We are citizens willing to provide Green alternatives to straw production and driven by our passion for making the world a better place for humanity. We aim to make our products the best 100% compostable straws in Canada and help restaurants, beverage shops, and corporate institutions take a step towards zero single-use plastic.
Straw Matters supports local and insists on manufacturing our high-quality products in Canada. We provide different sizes of compostable plant based straws, such as cocktail use, smoothie straws, and bubble tea straws.
Our plant-based straws “Sipli” are made from agricultural byproducts and serve as a direct replacement for petroleum-based plastic straws. Unlike paper straws, Sipli straws have no difficulty poking through beverage lids or seals and do not become soggy in drinks. Sipli straws are not only biodegradable and durable but also not harmful to the environment. They can degrade in 4-6 weeks, are petrochemical-free, and contain no PP, PE, PS, PVC, or PET. Incineration of these straws produces no toxic fumes.
