Speed Turn Elementary Math Contest (STEMC) is a school-based competition aimed to foster interest in mathematics in students between grades 1-6. Registration is done by the participant's school, although individual participants are also welcome. The contest itself will be written by students during school hours in April. Covid-19 permitting, there will be an in-person awards ceremony for top scorers in May. Top scorers will receive awards and will be invited to the awards ceremony.
STEMC has been successfully run for two annual contests. With the generous support of the University of Calgary, among other sponsors, over 1200+ students have written this contest.
