For as long as one can remember, universally, women have been denied equal rights as their male counterparts in the name of gender discrimination. Once touted as the weaker sex, today, women are breaking barriers and creating new benchmarks. This has been possible because strong women decided to stand up and demand their rights. The path has been long and the battle is only half-won.
Streellingo aims to highlight the everyday issues of women, the problems they face, the challenges they meet and the lives they lead. Our continuous effort is to create discussions about women and womanhood.
Stree means woman and lingo is the shorter version of the term language. Combining the two together helps us bring forth thoughts and issues about women from all walks of life.
Although we stand for the rights of women, Streellingo in no way seeks to promote the emancipation of women at the cost of men. We believe equal gender opportunity is the way forward. We believe, that both genders, men and women, need to be treated with respect and kindness. Standing up for women's rights does not mean hating men altogether.
