Who are we?
A group of people from diverse backgrounds who recognised social needs that were not being addressed and mobilised ourselves to provide temporary and immediate aid where we see an addressable need.
We are non judgemental and we simply accept people’s initial needs at face value.
What we do
- Assist with immediate needs, for example food, clothing and assistance in accessing govt. agencies for Centrelink payments, accommodation etc.
- Help re settle women and children impacted by domestic violence
- Help newly released prisoners to re-establish in the community
- Assist homeless men and women find refuge accommodation
- Distribute aid to a number of hostels and refuges run by other charities
- Provide material support for the children of mothers in prison
- Provide emergency food hampers and distribute Christmas Hampers to our list of needy recipients
How can you help?
- We accept Corporate Donations to help with food provisions through the year, but especially for Christmas Hampers (we have DGR status, so your donation is tax deductible)
- Small volunteer groups can join us for Christmas Hamper Packing
- We always need runners through the year to do deliveries and odd jobs.
