The Strand Group (STRAND) incorporates Stress Analysis and Design Engineering Ltd. in the UK and Strand Aerospace Malaysia Sdn Bhd (SAM) in Malaysia.
STRAND services cover a wide range of project managed solutions which include initial design, continuous product development (CPD), certification, manufacturing support, in-service support, aircraft structural integrity, structural health monitoring, aircraft teardown, training, 2D to 3D and 3D to 3D drawing conversion and cutting edge research and development.
We work on both primary and secondary aircraft structures. Our current portfolio includes work on wing box structures (ribs, spars and skins), pylon attachments, ailerons, flaps, and landing gear.STRAND was founded in 1997. It has offices in Worcester, England, and Cyberjaya, Malaysia. Customers include Airbus UK, Airbus North America, Messier-Dowty, BAe Systems, WS Atkins Aerospace, Aerosud, GKN Aerospace, GED, Assystems and CTRM. Projects have involved the entire Airbus fleet, as well as military aircraft such as Tornado, Harrier and Nimrod.
STRAND has Senior Engineers for Static, Composites, F&DT and FE, each of whom has at least 20 years of experience in their respective discipline.
