Stroke Recovery Foundation is a 501c3 established to play a transformative leadership role in Stroke. Our Vision is to reduce the negative impact of stroke by a factor of 25% by 2030. Save a Life - Improve a Life! We achieve this lofty vision by focusing on Stroke Success: - Successful Stroke Prevention -professionals say 80% of strokes are preventable - let's try to prevent yours; -Success recognizing the signs and symptoms of stroke so that one can respond both rapidly and effectively; - Successful Stroke Recovery Maximization should a stroke occur, to create a constructive, independent and fulfilling “New Life”. Our recently announced Stroke Victor Recovery Fund provides scholarships for unreimbursed physical, occupational, speech and aqua therapy for those without the financial resources to continue their recovery journeys. The Foundation provides public speakers to inspire and educate organizations, corporations and groups about awareness, prevention and recovery. Its 11 Pillars of Stroke Prevention is designed to reduce the numbers of people who have strokes. The 12 Pillars of Stroke Victor Recovery provides an innovative roadmap to recovery maximization from a survivor perspective. Our “Mannequin to Man College Education Initiative is focused on educating the next generation of healthcare providers. The Foundation offers both workshops and talks that provide students the opportunity to learn from survivors about what it is like 'on the other side'. In this effort, survivors enter the classroom to meet students and expose them to stroke realities from a real-life experience perspective. Also, the workshops provide education on the two Pillar initiatives which the students can utilize as they transition from the classroom to real-life practice. The Foundation has innovated the concept of Stroke Coaching and provides this service in person or online. Personalized roadmaps to success are created. Save a Life - Improve a Life!
