The responsibilities of a Special / Threshold Inspector include reviewing concrete reinforcing steel for foundations, beams, columns, slabs, and shear walls, reviewing concrete placement, reviewing concrete masonry reinforcing and placement of grout, reviewing steel structures and their connections, and reviewing timber structures and connections during construction.
Prior to the design and renovation to an existing facility, Structural Engineering Group has provided Condition Assessment Reports to identify potential areas of concern within a structure. These reports help to prepare the Owner, Architect, and Engineer for potential problems prior to starting the design phase of a project.
