The Student Leadership Project is an educational non-profit organization dedicated to maximizing the success of urban charter schools and their students by systematically developing and leveraging student-led culture.
The Student Leadership Project was founded by two Teach For America alumni whose experiences teaching in New Orleans, LA confirmed their belief that every student deserves a quality education, including both excellent instruction and a unifying school culture. Many urban charter schools are making impressive strides to close the achievement gap, but they are not fully leveraging the possibilities of student leadership. These schools are good, but they have the potential to be great.
