SPAN, the Student Project for Amity among Nations, is Minnesota’s longest-running research and travel abroad program. SPAN offers undergraduates from all Minnesota colleges and universities an opportunity to conduct independent research on a self-chosen topic, while immersing themselves in a culture different from their own. The academic portion is currently housed at Hamline University, and the SPAN Association helps students financially for their unique research abroad opporunities.
