Founded in 2010, Students Making a Change is a student-led, multi-racial organizing project aimed to close the achievement gap in Community Colleges by increasing retention and transfer rates for underrepresented student populations. To accomplish this, SMAC works to create transformative leadership opportunities for community college students in educational policy advocacy, innovative community engagement, and organizing.
