S3 is a student coalition that strives to research, analyze and report on the basic needs and insecurities their colleagues are facing on their respective campuses. Students are hired, trained and equipped with the knowledge of basic needs insecurities, and the work it will take to address these issues. Those who have experienced food and housing insecurity first-hand work passionately towards a community that meets the basic needs of students so they can focus on their work and success as a student and a professional.
Our S3 ambassadors are passionate about local issues being faced on their campuses including food and housing insecurities. Our students gain experience working with non-profits and the local government, while professionally developing and building their networks.
