Sculpting with marble and bronze is my specialty, although I enjoy communicating ideas with a variety of materials. Just like the way I speak different languages, I use different materials and processes to communicate in a multitude of ways. Craftsmanship is important to me and when I realise a vision my aim is to fulfil a certain criteria and aesthetic, aspiring to excellence, quality and precision. The concept behind my work varies, because change is the only constant in life and variety is the spice of life. It can be as simple as pure form or as complex as questioning the fundamentals of existence, awareness and the human condition. By suggesting the act of sculpting, using traditional methods and materials as being a key aspect to the creation of my art, I am also posing a question of validity to the contemporary art world. Art exists only in the consciousness of the beholder. Thus the artist is a mirror. Sculpture, my chosen method of communication is my Bridge to the world outside. With 10 years sculpting in Pietrasanta, alongside the Italian Masters, I have gained rich knowledge of the traditional sculpting practices.
