Studio Bumi is a food experience company on a mission to highlight underrepresented cuisines, foster genuine friendships, and combat loneliness in big cities through communal dining. What We Do We craft meals inspired by Indonesia’s bold and diverse culinary heritage and host immersive events in mission-driven spaces across NYC. How We Do It At each gathering, we pair guided conversations with vibrant dishes, turning every meal into a meaningful exchange. By intentionally designing the space for connection, we ensure guests leave not just satisfied, but truly seen and heard. Why It Matters Loneliness is an epidemic in the U.S., and food has the power to break barriers and spark belonging. When we explore flavors together, we also share stories, perspectives, and genuine connections—all of which reduce isolation and build community.
