Studio Elise Luttik

Industrial designer Elise Luttik (1983) plays with transparency in her high-end furniture designs. She works with open structures and interesting transparent materials like fabric, silicon and translucent film. As a designer Elise is intrigued by the notion of interactivity and a feminine touch in interior design, as she believes design should be dynamic and changing. She looks for ways to materialise illusions, using transparency, iridescent effects and breakage of light. Like the illusion of cushioning on Chester chair and the concealed covering of clock Under my skin. The transfer of light through the translucent almost dancing Ballerina lamp and the use of open structures in the reversibel Upside down collection. Plus the ever changing prismatic effects seen in the Prismania collection. Trained at the TU Delft and seven years of working experience as a marketing and product manager, Elise started as an independent designer in 2014 and debuted at Salone del Mobile in Milan. In 2015 she introduced her Upside down collection to the public at the Salone Satellite and has been working on new collections ever since. These collections are not finished at the date of publication, but form a great source of inspiration to keep working on additional pieces. All her designs are manufactured in the Netherlands.
