Founded by ceramic designer and culinary expert Irit Biran, Studio Now creates handmade ceramic tableware and decor inspired by Irit’s passion for cooking, entertaining, and aesthetics. NoW began as a personal journey. After 20 years as a lawyer and raising four children, Irit left her legal career to explore her creative side. Her love for ceramics, sparked during pottery lessons with Raya Stern, quickly grew into a full-time passion. The studio name, “NoW,” reflects her personal transformation and celebrates the ritual of shared meals—moments of being present in the here and now. The slogan, “Hand Made Rituals,” emphasizes this connection between tableware, food, and the people gathered around it. Every piece by Studio Now is crafted one by one using traditional methods, carrying the maker’s touch and intention. The designs are clean, elegant, and minimalistic, suitable for daily use or special occasions. Established in 2015 in Sde Warburg, the studio began next to Irit’s family home, hosting workshops, cultural events, and sales blending culinary and design experiences. In 2022, Studio Now moved to Jaffa into a space designed by Irit with Keren Offner and Moran Palmoni. The industrial loft reflects the studio’s values of utility, minimalism, and elegance. The adjacent shop allows visitors to experience the production process firsthand and browse tableware and curated items for a complete culinary and aesthetic experience. Studio Now also hosts art exhibitions, workshops, and events celebrating food, culture, and human connection. Whether it’s a shared dinner or a workshop, the studio continues to embody its mission of creating beauty and community through handmade rituals.
