Studio Whynought

Studio Whynought is a New York–based interdisciplinary interior design studio specializing in luxury hotel properties worldwide. We believe that the soul of every space is rooted in its local culture and context. Art is central to our design philosophy—each of our projects weaves unique cultural elements into compelling narratives, creating spaces rich in storytelling and history. Founded by Hyemin Choi, our team of talented designers shares a mission to craft immersive luxury experiences through bespoke interiors that blend art, local craftsmanship, and architectural sophistication. While our primary focus is large-scale hospitality projects—including Park Hyatt, Shilla Monogram, and Andaz—we also design residential, commercial, and restaurant spaces. Our multifaceted design approach spans master planning, area programming, branding strategy, design development, fabrication, custom art curation, and end-to-end project management. The result: spaces that embody Studio Whynought’s distinct vision of modern luxury.
