We are a student initiative at TU Berlin and use the satellites of the chair of space technology after their official end of life for practical projects alongside our studies. Currently, the satellites of the BEESAT family are used, mainly BEESAT-2, BEESAT-4 and BEESAT-9. In the meantime, the first TUBiX20 satellite TechnoSat has been retired.
In cooperation with the chair, 15 students work independently with the satellites. The focus is on the transfer of knowledge and the continuation of long-term experiments. We also regularly plan and evaluate our own attitude control, GNSS and image recording experiments.
Furthermore, we participate in the development of the software onboard the satellites and the ground stations and support the department in its public relations work.
