Su Wen Herbs® was founded by Giovanni Maciocia in 1994. The company today is run by his son, Sebastian. It oversees the production of his lines of herbal formulas: The Three Treasures, Women’s Treasure, and The Little Treasures.
The formulas are based on classical Chinese formulae but adapted by Giovanni to better address the complex patterns more commonly seen in clinical practice in the West, based on his clinical experience.
They are used by practitioners all over the world with great results.
Of note, Su Wen Herbs offers practitioners in the USA and UK a “patient prescription service”: practitioners do not need to pre-select, purchase and stock any formulas. Instead they can prescribe them based on client need, adding their markup as required, via the web shop, and arrange to have them shipped directly to their patient. Su Wen Herbs collects the payment from the patient and reimburses the practitioner their markup.
They are made to highest possible standards across three production sites in the USA and the Netherlands.
Su Wen Herbs offers regular free educational seminars and builds relationships with leading Colleges to support their students in better understanding how standardised herbal formulas work and best practice in a clinical setting.
