Sub Sea Services, since 1995, has been deeply and actively involved in industrial, commercial and scientific underwater operations and projects. The company is a specialized commercial diving organization based in Italy , for offshore, inshore and inland underwater projects. From the main headquarters in Italy operations have been performed abroad in the waters of foreign countries by mobilizing flexible resources and by setting up local headquarters to meet the project requirements. All the supervising personnel and the divers of the company are highly qualified and experienced and boast national and international certificates of competence. The Company relies on advanced and updated equipment, on recent international codes of practice, on accurate and internationally certified work procedures to minimize the risks and enhance safety in every moment of any project. Besides in every project and activity the Company strictly works in full respect of the standards and requirements issued by IMCA (International Marine Contractors Association). In the year 2012, in conjunction of the Costa Concordia disaster and the grounding of the M/V Gelso M, the T&T Marine Salvage evaluated SSS to cooperate in the removal project of the ship. Sub Sea Services is also an IDSA (International Diving Schools Association) member and the Company most competent and experienced supervisors and team leaders are qualified and certified as teachers in the national Italian commercial diving schools (e.g. “Marco Polo” in Rome and “Hydrolab” in Genoa and La Spezia) to train the students and lead them through their learning process in the safe practice and procedures of underwater work. Sub Sea Services is also a member of UNI (Ente Nazionale Italiano di Unificazione), the Italian entity for the alignment of national standards in commercial diving activities, and is fully and actively involved, whit other commercial diving companies, in the current improvement of the UNI 11366 code of practice.
