Sub-Zero Studio

Sub-Zero Studio is a team competing in the international Ice Box Challenge! We are 9 driven team members studying Architectural Engineering at Luleå University of Technology. Follow us to see our progress and see the work that goes in to designing and building a passive house! The competition by IG Passivhus Sweden is simple yet effective: two boxes per team, each the size of a playhouse, will be filled with one metric ton of ice and placed outdoors for a month. One box is constructed according to conventional Swedish building standards, while the other is built as a passive house with an energy-efficient design. “The whole team is full of dedicated and driven students who are determined to win!
