SUBOR BORU San. Ve Tic. A.Ş. was founded in 1996 to manufacture and sell Glass fiber Reinforced Polyester (GRP) pipes in domestic and export markets.
Having commissioned its first production facility in Sakarya in April 1997, SUBOR has the privilege of being the first technological facility founded in Turkey in the field of GRP pipe production and trade.
SUBOR is a subsidary of “Yapı Merkezi Holding”.
Yapı Merkezi, is one of the largest international construction groups in Turkey and it was founded in 1965, aims “to create and to realize projects that will serve all humanity by creating happy environments”, and has been included in the “Top 250 International Constructors List” published annually by ENR – Engineering News Records every year since 1998. Yapı Merkezi realizes projects of universal dimensions and always reaches its targets with the determination to complete every project by delivering products and services on time, within budget and with the specified quality.
SUBOR’s other partner is Saudi Arabian “Amiantit Group of Companies” which is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of pipe systems, with 30 manufacturing facilities spread around the globe.
With the main objective of serving the agricultural development projects of our country within the scope of GAP (Southeast Anatolian Project), Subor has realized its second investment in 2000 by the joint venture of SUBOR and “Fernas İnşaat. A.Ş.” in Suruç district of Şanlıurfa.
SUBOR is capable of producing 800 kilometers of GRP pipes at different diameters each year with its four production lines, three in the Sakarya Facility and one in the Şanlıurfa facility, and is unrivalled in GRP production with regards to total capacity in Turkey and Europe.
Today, SUBOR is amongst the leading GRP pipe manufacturers in the world through its succesful references around the globe and Flowtite technology capable of producing high pressure GRP pipes and fittings up to 4 meter in diameter.
