At Substrates Inc., we’ve developing patented, next-generation construction boards made from industrial hemp and other recycled or repurposed feedstocks, targeting the $62 billion North American construction board market. Our boards can be custom-tuned—water-proof for hurricane zones, fire-proof for wildfire regions, even ballistic-resistant for critical infrastructure—while a scalable extrusion process supports regional manufacturing and circular supply chains, slashing embodied carbon and installation labor. We’ve secured U.S. patents and are now building functional prototypes, expanding a local-to-global supply network, and lining up UL/ASTM certification and strategic pilot projects. Though still early, our IP-protected platform tackles material volatility, climate resiliency, and cost pressure in a sector desperate for both productivity and decarbonization.
