Success Won't Come Calling

Every week I meet with incredible people who have achieved success. I will seek out their philosophy on life, how they dealt with setbacks and will ask what success means to them. I want to identify characteristics they share with each other which will help those of us motivated to follow in their footsteps. I will be meeting with experts who can help us improve our health, knowledge, perspectives and relationships, along with amazing individuals who have not allowed tragedy to block their road to a better place. I’ll be relishing success and finding the laughs in failure. I hope you enjoy experiencing the podcast as much as I do recording it. About me; At the age of 33 I was at a point in my life where I wanted to do some something different. Lots of people find themselves in the same position, questioning where they are going, but I’ve never been one to sit around so I left my job and set up my own business. It was 2012 and I was sat in a small office in North West England thinking, “This is all pretty scary but I have a plan and I’m going to make this work!” Fast forward eight years and I’m now CEO of Spirant Group. I’ve launched a further five businesses that turnover around £15m and employ more than 150 people across the UK, Australia and the USA. Anything I’d change? Yes. Any regrets? No. So other than being a successful businessman, I am a father, a former stand-up comedian, a dreadful footballer, an enthusiastic public speaker and a disastrous DIY-er.
