Sumbola is an advanced cloud-based transmedia platform for writers, readers and talent that helps content creators to create, share, and sell their digital creations as either subscriptions or one-off purchases, and also generate new forms of revenue that they have never been able to access before. We are focused on building a global transmedia community that is completely cloud-based, using no proprietary hardware (i.e., ebook reader), and serves the web's 2.2 billion users when it goes live. These transmedia creations will primarily be seeded by stories from past, present and future authors. Our cloud-based non-linear editing tools and community of talent will then add new layers of creative content around these stores to create the ultimate transmedia experiences. Sumbola’s DNA is to reinvent how books (and other content) can be consumed in the cloud via a smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop, and generate a creative economy platform that can be monetized and enjoyed by all its constituent users.
