SuMPO EPD Japan, formerly Ecoleaf, is one of the longest-running EPD programs in the world. The Japanese EPD was initiated in 2002, and over 300 companies used the program to declare more than 5,000 product environmental data (cumulative total).
SuMPO EPD has PCRs and EPDs for a wide range of products which include construction and civil engineering as well as food and beverage, textiles, apparel, plastics, wood, and electronics.
The program is owned and operated by SuMPO, an independent not-for-profit organization located in Japan (previously owned by JEMAI until 2019).
